Bran Castle
Bran, Romania
Perched on a dramatic hilltop in Transylvania, this storied fortress is often (albeit inaccurately) linked to Bram Stoker's Dracula, lending it an air of mystique and intrigue. With its medieval architecture featuring stone-tower turrets and hidden passageways, the castle is a splendid blend of Gothic and Renaissance styles. Originally built in the 14th century as a strategic defence against invading forces, its interiors are now a luxurious display of royal artefacts. As you wander through its winding corridors, you can almost feel the legends echoing through the ancient walls, transporting you to a time of myth and majesty.
