Raffles Lighthouse
Singapore
Perched on the southernmost tip of Singapore, this stone sentinel stands on Pulau Satumu. Completed in 1855, it is one of the city-state’s oldest lighthouses and was named after Sir Stamford Raffles. The lighthouse offers a mesmerising glimpse into maritime history, with its charming white facade and crimson lantern. Standing 29 metres high, it once held the vital role of guiding colonial ships through the bustling straits. The surrounding scenery, including the coral reef around the island, adds a splash of natural beauty. Though not easily accessible to the public, it remains a steadfast emblem of Singapore's nautical heritage.
