Hello, Slowly family. I decided to write my own little story, after reading all the amazing and beautiful Slowly Stories here on the website. Mine is not a love story, nor the start of an amazing friendship, it is just a story about the freedom of self-expression in a world where superficiality is abundant, in this iper-connected world we live in.

So, i started using Slowly originally in 2019, but lost my account unfortunately, and made my second account a couple of years later, and now i’m using always almost every day. Having Borderline Personality Disorder, making friends and keeping those friendships over time is an extremely difficult task, and i feel often lonely and detached from reality, but what i can say is this: Slowly has always had my back, in times of uncertainty and when everything seemed to be lost, speaking to my different pen-pals has always been a fascinating and liberating thing for me to do, and speaking my mind freely about my problems has always been extremely liberating, and helped me tremendously in the long run.

Now i have made a very important friend here, let’s call her S, and she is from my own country. I have met a lot of people here, and most of them have disappeared, but she struck a chord within my soul and right now she is a very important friend here on Slowly, and i cherish her company very much. We talk every few days because she is very busy, but our letters are always heartfelt and grounded in reality, often talking about very important topics that are rarely discussed by our peers today. She is a great person, and has a great heart, very intelligent as well, and i very much enjoy writing her letters and receiving them from her.

So, i wanted to thank personally the Slowly team and the Slowly people, for making this amazing app…well, amazing.
