Since I can remember, I have always had an interest in lifelong learning, foreign languages, cultures, geography and history. These interests inspired me to become an English teacher and a journalist.

One day, I decided I wanted to talk to people from around the world and potentially help others learn English and maybe learn new languages along the way. I tried other websites and apps to meet penpals, but some of these sites, which I will not name, did not keep my attention. I was about ready to give up when I found SLOWLY through a Google search about the seemingly lost art of the pen pal.

Every morning SLOWLY is something I check when I turn on my computer, to get to work.

SLOWLY has helped me come out of my shell and become more confident that people will appreciate what I say. I have been fortunate to have met such kind individuals from more than 20 different countries and every continent in the world. I hope to meet many more soon.
