Located in the Laotieshan National Nature Reserve in Lushunkou District, Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, is a nationally protected cultural heritage site. Originally built by the Qing government as part of the infrastructure for the Lushun naval port, the lighthouse was occupied successively by Japan, the Russian Empire, and the Soviet Union before being reclaimed by the government of the People’s Republic of China in 1955. With a maximum range of 25 nautical miles, the lighthouse is equipped with facilities such as an automatic ship identification system.
