Cape Bojeador Lighthouse

Cape Bojeador Lighthouse

Beautiful Lighthouses

Perched atop a windswept hill, the towering sentinel of Cape Bojeador has been guiding seafarers since its inauguration in the late 19th century. This marvellous blend of Spanish colonial architecture and maritime history features an octagonal brick tower and a charming keeper’s house. The lighthouse offers sweeping views over the rugged northern coast and the South China Sea, making it a beloved spot for photographers and history buffs. Though now automated, it is said that its first-order Fresnel lens once had a luminescence so powerful, it could be seen from as far away as 67 kilometres.
