Yomari Punhi is a traditional festival in Nepal that celebrates the harvest with a special sweet dumpling called Yomari. The dumpling is made from rice flour and filled with molasses or sesame seeds. This festival also marks the beginning of winter and reflects gratitude for a bountiful harvest. It is mainly observed by the Newar community in the Kathmandu Valley.
