We often exchange stories, about our fears and worries about life. I never hesitated to tell him anything.

Gil went out of his way, taking time off work to show us around his hometown of Querétaro, taking us to places we would never have found without him.

Watching your pen pal come to life, and materialize into the friend you’ve learned so much about, is the most sentimental and surreal feeling ever.

As a journalist, I love getting to know more about people and how they experience life. Slowly, however, allowed me to go beyond what I expected.

By simply letting our personalities flow through our letters, we were able to convey to others who we are despite the distance.

When I started interacting with people again, I noticed that I was able to have better conversations, and connect to people on a deeper level.

I have fallen for her letters before even knowing her real name, or before seeing her face, a picture, through her letters I had seen what matters: her soul.

While we often feel annoyed or anxious when people take forever to reply to our texts, on Slowly, taking forever is the point.
