Last year I finished a 10-year friendship and started to think about what characteristics I thought were important to a friendship and found that I valued patience, humor and presence at the moment, things I found difficult to find at that time. That’s when the universe decided to show me how wrong I was.
One day I was looking for a new application in Playstore and I saw Slowly. It was love at first sight! I discovered a new world, one in which I love writing letters, reading profiles and having that exciting moment where you see someone answered you! It’s heaven for me.
One day I got into a profile that started with this:
“Imagine the softer, more sophisticated British accent you can imagine … now take the opposite of it and voila, you got me! … Chandler Bing is my animal spirit …“. It made me laugh a lot and felt like writing something for that person.
Sixteen letters later (and still counting), we have what we were both looking for: an honest friendship, full of care, laughter and attention between a Brazilian woman and an Indian / American man who is just beginning to flourish.
And so, children, that’s how the Wonder Woman met Batman
