The International Day of Happiness celebrates the importance of happiness in our lives. It emphasizes happiness as a universal human right and highlights the role of happiness in personal and global well-being. The day was established by the United Nations in 2012, inspired by Bhutan's unique focus on Gross National Happiness over Gross Domestic Product.
