'Bécassine' is a French comic strip character created in 1905 by writer Jacqueline Rivière and illustrator Joseph Pinchon. She is one of the first female protagonists in comics, known for her simple, curious nature and signature Breton attire. Bécassine is beloved in France and has appeared in numerous comics, movies, and merchandise.
