Citadelle Laferrière is a large fortress in Haiti, located on top of a mountain near the town of Milot. It was built in the early 1800s by Henri Christophe, a leader of the Haitian Revolution, to defend against French attacks. The structure is massive and shaped like a star, with thick stone walls and many cannons. It is considered a symbol of Haiti’s independence and architectural prowess.
