The Santur is a traditional Iranian musical instrument, similar to a hammered dulcimer. It is trapezoid-shaped with strings stretched over a wooden box. Played with small wooden mallets, it produces a rich, resonant sound. The Santur has ancient origins and holds a significant place in Persian classical music.
