Erdene Zuu Monastery, located in Mongolia, is one of the oldest surviving Buddhist monasteries in the country. Built in the late 16th century, it is surrounded by a wall with 108 stupas, which is a significant number in Buddhism. The monastery was partly destroyed in the 1930s but restored in the 1990s, and it is now a museum and active place of worship.
