The Bandura is a traditional Ukrainian string instrument with a flat wooden body and numerous strings, combining features of a lute and a zither. It is known for its rich, melodic sound and has played a key role in Ukrainian folk and classical music. Historically, bandurists often accompanied themselves while singing epics and folk tales.
