I’ve been using this app for almost three years. I’ve met different people to talk to. Some of them disappeared and never sent me a letter again, while others didn’t manage to reply after I first approached them, and some pals are still my friends. Sending letters takes time, and that is my favorite feature of this app. It has helped me communicate better, not just in person but also online. Additionally, this app made me realize how to build trust and patience when talking to strangers. I must say that most strangers are very kind and know how to handle humanity. Moreover, I sometimes feel bad about myself for taking so long to respond to my unread letters. Indeed, I do that because I don’t want to reply with low energy. I want to store my energy before replying so that I can respond wholeheartedly.
Through these experiences, I’ve come to know people in different ways and understand them more effectively. I am very glad that this app exists, and I will always be grateful that most people and users on this app are kind and genuine. Almost every day, I find myself wondering how they are doing—if they are okay or having some fun. One of the most incredible things about this app is that we will never know what they are doing or whether they are okay unless they send us a letter and share their story.
Still, I really enjoy being on this app despite everything. I love creating long letters for them and patiently waiting for their next reply. Just like that, the cycle repeats. It’s funny to think that sometimes I imagine my soulmate might just be roaming around on this app—but who knows? Everything feels so kind and genuine here. I feel like I’ll stay on this app forever; it feels like part of my growth. I really love it.
