I did not join this app because of loneliness, or emotional support. The reason I joined this app was because I was passionate about different cultures. I read reviews about many social apps until I came across slowly, at first I was reluctant, maybe it wouldn’t work out , maybe I wouldn’t get to connect with different people from different background, language and works of life but it proved me wrong.
Its features are so unique , especially writing letters to people and waiting for replies. It gives you time to think , pour out your heart, talk about what you love the most, who you are and what you value . You are not in a hurry to reply but understand, connecting is easy because of how genuine it feels. I am extremely happy that I chat with a few people who gets me , our likes are similar, we challenge each other and wish each other the best. I am able to express myself freely.
I would like to thank vasi( nickname ) from India. she fueled and encouraged my love for modelling, I always believed I was not fit for it , but she made me understand how beautiful I am and that anything is possible. Emma from Ghana who always reach out to me to make sure I am fine, even when I am busy he always says hi , which I value 🤎. I am still open and searching for more pen pals.
Slowly also made me realize that although race and culture adds part of who we are ,we are who we are regardless of where we come from and I will now prioritize true connections over language. I have been on this app for three months and I don’t think I would ever want to delete it.
