Hello, Slowly world! My name is Riku, a curious soul and a college student from Kolkata, India, pursuing a degree in Computer Science and Engineering. It’s hard to believe that it has already been a year since I embarked on my Slowly journey, a journey that has opened my eyes to the beauty of connection and cultural exchange.

As someone who is fascinated by the human mind and philosophical ponderings, Slowly has become my bridge to exploring different perspectives and sharing my thoughts on psychology and philosophy. Through heartfelt and thought-provoking letters, I have delved into discussions on the complexities of the human psyche, the mysteries of consciousness, and the moral dilemmas that shape our existence. Each letter exchanged felt like a window into the depths of another person’s soul, enriching my understanding of the diverse tapestry of human thought.

But it wasn’t just the intellectual pursuits that captivated me on Slowly. Being rooted in the vibrant and culturally rich city of Kolkata, I have shared glimpses of my Indian heritage and Kolkata culture with fellow Slowly users around the world. From describing the bustling streets of Kolkata during Durga Puja to sharing recipes of traditional Bengali sweets, I have found joy in celebrating and preserving the essence of my cultural roots through heartfelt exchanges.

One of the highlights of my Slowly journey has been connecting with like-minded individuals who share my passion for literature, art, and introspection. From discussing the works of Rabindranath Tagore to exploring the principles of Eastern philosophies, each conversation has been a delightful unraveling of shared interests and mutual respect.

As I celebrate this milestone of one year with Slowly, I am grateful for the friendships forged, the stories shared, and the horizons expanded. To all my fellow Slowly users, thank you for being a part of this beautiful tapestry of connections and conversations. Here’s to many more years of exploring cultures, minds, and hearts through the art of slow communication.

With heartfelt gratitude
and warm regards,
Riku
