I never imagined that I would find a friend through chatting online, especially in such a slow, old-fashioned way like waiting patiently for a letter to arrive, taking its time but full of meaning. I joined this app a year ago, but during that time, my health was up and down, and I ended up deleting the app. When I did, I lost the friends I had made.
After my surgery, feeling stronger and well again, I decided to come back and start fresh. I had little hope of finding anyone new, as that time i already sent many but didn’t get reply of any ,so I planned to send one last message “a final letter” hoping for a reply . If I didn’t get one, I thought I would leave the app for good.But then, she came. Her reply made me happy in a way I hadn’t expected. Our letters became a source of joy, each one of warmth and understanding between us. From there, the doors opened wider than I’d dreamed. It encourages me to continue to make many other friends globally kind and loving souls who felt like blessings in my life. Their openness and appreciation were more than I ever thought I’d find.
It’s amazing how strangers from across the globe, with different languages and cultures, could connect so deeply through words alone. Each message carried kindness, humor, and empathy it felt like catching fragments of sunlight through a window on a cold day. In the midst of loneliness and uncertainty, this small community became a sanctuary for me where I could just be myself, without fear or judgment.
Thank you for that slowly it wasn’t just about reconnecting with others it was about rediscovering my own resilience and the joy of opening up to the unexpected gifts of friendship.
